Bill Morris, our very good friend and neighbor, passed away on December 29, 2005, at the age of 98. He was the heart and soul of our neighborhood and we miss him very much. We offer a photo tribute to the man who founded our airpark and inspired us with his inventiveness, sense of adventure, and generosity of spirit.
We knew Bill first and foremost as a pilot. He had many
airplanes, but his best friend for over 30 years was his Cessna 182, The Spirit of
Maryland.

Bill was an excellent pilot who flew until he was 98.
One of Bill's favorite destinations was The Bahamas. He visited there many times on his boat and in his plane.

Bill had a warm and loving family The pictures below show Bill with his
daughter, son, daughter-in-law, and sister.

Bill was a legend to us--and he got to know some other modern legends, including Walter Cronkite, who visited Bill at Kentmorr in summer 2005.

Finally, here are a few shots of Bill with some of his Kentmorr neighbors, past and present.

We will surely miss you, Bill.
